EXPONENTIAL RULES

Rule 2:
To divide identical bases, subtract the exponents.



Problem 1:
Simplify tex2html_wrap_inline29 .
Answer:

tex2html_wrap_inline31

Solution:
Since the bases are identical, you can combine them using Rule 1 (multiply bases). Rewrite tex2html_wrap_inline29 as tex2html_wrap_inline35.
You can also combine the bases using Rule 2. tex2html_wrap_inline29 can be written tex2html_wrap_inline39
