SOLVING TRIGONOMETRIC EQUATIONS

Note: If you would like a review of trigonometry, click on trigonometry.

Work the following problems. Click on Solution, if you want to review the solutions.

Problem 9.11a:         $\displaystyle \frac{1-\sin x}{\cos x}+\displaystyle \frac{\cos x}{1-\sin x}=8$

Solution.

Problem 9.11b:         $\displaystyle \frac{1-4\cos x}{2\sin x}+\displaystyle \frac{2\sin x}{1-\cos x}=7$

Solution.

Problem 9.11c:         $\displaystyle \frac{1-\sin x}{\cos x}+\displaystyle \frac{2\cos x}{1+\sin x}=8\cos x$

Solution.

Problem 9.11d:         $\displaystyle \frac{1-3\cos x}{\sin x}+\displaystyle \frac{7\sin x}{1-\cos x}=3\csc x$

Solution.

If you would like to review the word solution to any of the above problems, click on solution to the right of the problem.
