Converting Percentages to Fractions: Example

Recall that 1% = . To convert a percentage to a fraction, simply convert 1% to . To convert a percentage to a decimal, simply convert 1% to .01.
- Example:
- Convert 230.75% to a fraction.
- Answer:
- 230.75% can be written 230.75 1% and
230.75 1% can be written .
And this in turn can be multiplied by 1.

- Example:
- Convert 230.75% to a decimal.
- Answer:
- 230.75% can be written 230.75 1% and
230.75 1% can be written 230.75 0.01 = 2.3075.
