Converting Decimals to Fractions: Problem 1

Rule 28:
For this review, we will focus on terminating fractions. Divide the fraction by 1, and then multiply the result by 1 in a form that will remove the decimal.

Problem 1:
Convert 0.00235 to a simple fraction in reduced form.

Answer:

Solution:
Multiply and divide 0.00235 by 1.

At this point you have converted the decimal to a fraction. Now you need to reduce the fraction:
