I have made the font smaller; vertical\ alignment should be better than $in the past $, too.

If we write $f(x)=\frac1x, then we see some nice vertical alignment!

Basically using TeX in midsentence \text{won't look as odd} as it used to.

Oh, I see. I recall seeing in another forum, if the user uses [itex][/itex] tags then the size of the LaTeX image generated would be the same size of the font. That way LaTeX images didn't stick out and ruin the format.
