Hello to all

Not sure where to post this one.

I wanted to do some diagrams (of things like Cartesian coordinate axes, cylinders, spheres) and put them in a PDF file. Can anybody give me some pointers as to how I can draw diagrams, or what programs would you use to do it.

Thanks

Note: I use WinEdit to create my Tex files.

Many ways to do this, depending on what exactly you want to do.

You can use your favourite program to create eps/jpeg/gif/png and use graphicx package. If the picture is small you can probably get away with the picture environment. If you are feeling adventurous you can use xy-pic package or even MetaPost.
