I am attempting to balance an equation and am having no luck. Could you help please?
Chromium Oxide added to Potassium Hydroxide to obtain the salt.

My attempt:

CrO3 + KOH = Cr(OH)3 + K2O

Check the formula for chromium oxide.

There is no redox here, so if you start with chromium(VI) you will be left with chromium(VI), not chromium(III).

Actually, you will probably be left with potassium chromate(VI)/dichromate(VI), depending on how much potassium hydroxide you start with.

There is no typo in the question. You need to be able to recognise what "the salt" is, and it certainly isn't the alkali chromium(III) hydroxide.
