I don't seem to have the password to my old account: Cyberman

Had a inverted MSPAINT-like picture of washu, I think.

Anyway I can get that back?
Yeah, I know it said I should email an administrator.

I'm inclined to email someone all the passwords I've ever used in order to prove identity, but I don't want to do that, as I still use some passwords I could think of.

I don't know what my email was at the time of signup... Being that it was 2005? Yeesh. My guess is something with the prefix of genecks or possible daggerofright or something...

The database has just sent you a new password for 'Cyberman'.

As a person whose been on the Internet, I'm sure you understand that Yahoo email has changed in the past 5 years by shutting down old account, just as MSN Hotmail did long ago. Lycos went down (had an account there). And a lot of other things have changed. I could have had a myway.com account back in 2005, as far as I know.

Care to tell me what my old addy was, at least?
Sending a new password would have done no good, as I don't know which email.

Why couldn't you have at least re-implemented the same password I had?
Could you not have done that? Why not?

Anyway, I did some bruting and found out it was genecks@gmail

It's like, everything I'd been brought up to believe was all made of bull***?. I hated her for that. But everything she said was true.

I do not have access to users' passwords. Passwords are stored in encrypted form in the database running the help forum program.

Sorry, but I cannot/will not send a new password for a user account when the user has forgotten/terminated the email account with which the user registered. In this case, the user will have to create a new user account with a valid email.

A few years back I found out the hard way that this is a necessary policy...
