A company must complete three jobs. The work was executed on four machines. The processing time in minutes required for each machine is:

\begin{center}
\begin{tabular}{ccccc} \hline
 . &  machine 1 &  machine 2  &  machine 3 & machine 4 \\
job 1 &  20 &  -  &  25 & 30 \\
job 2 & 15 & 20 & - & 18 \\
job 3 & - & 35 & 28 & - \\ \hline
\end{tabular}
\end{center}

A job can be processed on machine j when finished processing the j-1, j = 2,3,4.
A machine can not process two jobs at once, and once that is processing a job, you must finish before starting another.
This is to minimize the time required to execute all jobs.
Considering different elsewhere: to minimize the amount of time needed to complete the three papers.
Formulating the problem in both cases.

[I fixed your \LaTeX code; you forgot the column specification.]
