Easy one...for your enjoyment:

Boats travel in each direction along the canal from A to B and back.
They leave each place on the hour and every 15 minutes.

At 12 o'clock, Jack left A walking at X mph along the towpath to B,
and arrived at B at the same time as the boat that had left A at 12:15.

During his walk, Jack saw eight boats going in the opposite direction,
including one which arrived at A as he left, and one which left B as he arrived.

The next day, Jack left A cycling at X + 6 mph along the towpath to B.
Again, Jack left at 12 o'clock but this time arrived at B at the same time
as the boat which had left A at 11:45.

During his cycling, Jack saw six boats going in the opposite direction,
including one which arrived at A as he left, and one which left B as he arrived.

What is the speed of the boats?
