For your enjoyment:
A,B,C,D and E are sitting at a table, each with
a pile of dimes in front of them.
I'm using dimes instead of say, marbles, because
marbles would probably roll off the table!
A has a dimes, B has b dimes, C has c dimes,
D has d dimes and E has e dimes.
A gives each of the other 4 guys enough dimes
to double what each has; like D now has 2d dimes.
Next, B gives each of the other 4 guys enough dimes
to double what each has; like D now has 4d dimes.
This continues; C is next, then D, then E.
Each guy now has 160 dimes; total of 800 dimes.
(good thing I didn't use marbles, right?)
How many dimes did each guy start with?
I'm not prejudiced...I hate everybody equally!
