Seems to work. Using free MathMagic for the Apple computer.

My understanding is that the "Personal edition" is free. I'll double check though and get back to you. I don't use unwarranted software, and will continue to order Mathtype if this is the case.

What MathMagic generated is rather lengthy in comparison with $$\int_{-\frac\pi2}^\frac\pi2\!\sin^2\!x\,dx,$ which is adequate for most purposes.
