I'm not too good with unix. Let's say I have my BibTeX master file in the directory ~/Documents/master.bib, while my working directory is elsewhere.

Why is this not working?

\bibliography{~/Documents/master}{}

It doesn't read in the master file. But if I move the master file to within the working director, it'll work.
