It would be nice to have a complex exponent in the How to LaTex forum.
Complex as in not simple. Pardon me for the misleading title, I don't mean imaginary.

Something like:
(3x)^{x^2}

It took me awhile to figure out we needed to use { } to make that exponent look nice.

It's covered in the first sticky. If the exponent contains more than one character then you need the curly braces.
