I have one bigger question about a logarithm.. I really don't understand this so an explanation with the answer would be wonderful! Any help is appreciated..

Given f(x)=log[base3](x-4)+1... Find the domain, range, and the equation of its asymptote...I'm also curious how f(x)=log[base3](x-4)+1 would be graphed?
Thanks!

If you need an idea how to do this, you should try using a graphing utility to get a picture and reverse engineer the answer yourself. WolframAlpha is a wonderful tool for just that.

If Wolfram Alpha is filled with viruses then I'm a monkey's uncle. I don't know enough about how the site is setup to know if it can freeze a computer, but if it's not working, you can check out graphs of logarithms on the wikipedia page (if you have a graphing calculator, that too is capable of doing the job).
