If you wanted to write the domain is x ≥ 1 but x ≠ 0, how would we do so in Set Notation?

The first condition implies the second. Did you mean x≤1?

\\\{x\in\mathbb{R}\;|\;x\ge 1\}\\\{x\in\mathbb{R}\;|\;x\le 1;\;x\neq 0\}=\{x\in\mathbb{R}\;|\;0\neq x\le 1\}=\{x\in\mathbb{R}\;|\;x\le 1\}\backslash\{0\}

Without.

{1,2,3,4,5}\{3,4} = {1,2,5}.
