Consider ridentical objects of type 1 and n-r identical objects of type 2 which are to be arranged on the circumference of a circle.

In how many ways can this be done?

What is YOUR answer to n=3,r=2? To n=4,r=1?

For n=3 and r=2,the answer should be 1
For n=4 and r=1,the answer is again 1,but for n=4 and r=2 the answer would be 2.
Is there a pattern which I am not able to see
